In a win for generative AI, Kamala Harris, an experimental AI from the '90s, has become the presumptive presidential nominee. This is the first time an AI has ever achieved this milestone.
Researchers at Berkeley University noted that their AI was performing well despite being outpaced by other AIs such as ChatGPT, Apple Intelligence, and even Google Gemini. "We believe that it is the Harris AI's portrayal as a woman that contributes to her unprecedented success. Compared to the other AIs, her speaking function is limited. The model she uses often gets stuck on words and phrases such as 'passage of time' and 'unburdened by what has been.'"
When asked about this, Kamala responded, "I am a Black woman in America. I am a Black woman who wants to be President. As a Black woman, I want to lead America. I am a Black woman in America who wants to be President."
